With Frank Sauer – “Voices for the Marsh 2024”

Frank Sauer has visited the Abbott Marshlands with his camera well over one hundred times. For 2024, Sauer will serve as the juror for the Voices for the Marsh photo exhibition. In this talk, he will give an overview over the different sections of the Abbott Marshlands. He will highlight the special sights that can be discovered throughout the seasons and illustrate the talk with his own photos.

Did you know that botanist Mary Leck dried plant specimens from the Abbott Marshlands for many years to create an herbarium collection?

Come out to the Tulpehaking Nature Center and see the collection, as well as to help label the specimens with newly prepared labels. All who are interested in this project are welcome to join in! No experience needed, we will help get you started and provide some winter goodies!

Enjoy an easy walk with our group each Wednesday to explore the beautiful trails of Roebling Park. See or hear something that sparks wonder in you? Share and ask as you like ? The walk is social and interactive, and we always encounter something of interest! The last Wednesday of each month has an added bonus: seasonal beverages and refreshments at the Tulpehaking Nature Center following the walk.
Meet in the Parking Lot near the Tulpehaking Nature Center by 10 am.
Note: A light rain will not cancel the walk, cancellations are posted by 9 am on our website and Facebook page.

Get a head start on preparing a home in your yard for the bluebirds this spring. During this workshop, you will get a hands-on building experience while learning about the bluebird’s life history. Ages 9 and up.
