Want to start keeping bees?
Join Yasmin Qazilbash, a vice-president of the Central New Jersey Beekeeping Association (and manager of the Bordentown Farmers Market). Yasmin keeps several hives locally where she maintains queens, retrieves swarms, and harvests honey.
The session will provide information on start up materials, training, and costs.
The Green Team is composed of volunteers who contribute to sustainability efforts within the community and organize and participate in a variety of related projects, including the annual Green Fair.
Help keep Bordentown City Green!

Stroll through historic Bordentown City and discover what residents are doing to make their homes more eco-friendly and sustainable. Get ideas, ask questions and be inspired by rain gardens, backyard composting, ponds, bee hives, native plantings, roof top gardens, solar panels and more. For this free event, attendees will start at Carslake Community Center where they will receive a map showing participating locations. They can meet residents who have “greened” their yards and homes. Attendees are encouraged to walk or bike. (Rain Date: May 7, 2023)

The City of Bordentown is looking for Volunteers to help with a park clean up. Come for the entire time or however much time you can spare. Bring gloves, and if you want, a rake, shovel, clippers, etc.
