Stroll through historic Bordentown City and discover what residents are doing to make their homes more eco-friendly and sustainable. Get ideas, ask questions and be inspired by rain gardens, backyard composting, ponds, bee hives, native plantings, roof top gardens, solar panels and more. For this free event, attendees will start at Carslake Community Center where they will receive a map showing participating locations. They can meet residents who have “greened” their yards and homes. Attendees are encouraged to walk or bike. (Rain Date: May 7, 2023)

Paper Shredding for Bordentown City & Township Residents

Securely dispose of your unwanted documents at the Bordentown Township Public Works facility. Bordentown City and Township residents can drive up and have volunteers help you move your paper directly to the shredding machine. The event is for residents only. No commercial establishments allowed.

All City and Township residents can safely and securely shred their unwanted documents on Saturday, October 1st at the Bordentown Township public works facility. Just drive up and volunteers will help you move your paper to the machine that will shred your paper while you watch. This is a free residential event only. No commercial shredding will be available.

Earth Talk: Discovering Your Abbott Marshlands

Discover the Treasure of “Your” Abbott Marshlands. Pat Coleman, President of the Friends for the Abbott Marshlands will talk about the 3,000 preserved, natural acres, it’s 10,000 year history as a coveted place for human, animal and plant life, and how Bordentown City is now a part owner. Learn how you are and can be a part of this natural wonder. The event will be in person at the Carslake Community Center, or join via Zoom.
